Can you measure for a harness? Of course but we have found from experience that it is not as easy as it seems.
That’s why we ask for the breed and weight of your dog when you place an order on our Product page. We will ask for a picture and measurements of your dog if needed for certain breeds like Boxers, Pointers, Bouvier des flandres, Giant Schnauzer, Pit Bulls and other bully breeds, some of the spaniel breeds or any breeds who are more square shaped, with shorter backs and deeper chests.
However, please feel free to send us measurements of your dog if you like to our email address firstname.lastname@example.org
Where to start?
Step 1 Use a flexible tailor measuring tape and make sure your dog is standing up with a straight back.
Step 2 Back measurement – Start right in front of your dogs shoulder blades, along your dogs spine to the base (where the tail starts) of your dogs tail
Step 3 Neck measurement – Start right in front of your dogs shoulder blades, along one side of your dogs neck to the top of your dogs breast bone
Step 4 Breast measurement – start at the top of your dogs breast bone, down his breast, in between the front legs and stop right where the front legs end
Step 5 Girth measurement – all around your dogs rib cage where the chest is the deepest, usually right behind the front legs
